A successful bowling project starts with more than the lane count. We help align your format, space, audience and operating model before specifying equipment. The result is a clearer plan for the guest experience, service workflow and ongoing support.

01

Build a new center with a clear plan

We consider lane configuration, seating, reception, circulation, back-of-house access and the relationship with your bar or kitchen. Space planning must reflect the building and the way you intend to trade.

We also look at how different groups will use the center: casual players, families, events and any intended league or competition activity. These choices influence the lane environment, player facilities, booking rules and technical requirements. A layout should make that operating model visible before an equipment order is placed.

02

Modernize with the whole operation in view

For existing centers, we review the current setup, operational priorities and replacement scope. We plan around installation access, staff preparation and the impact of works on trading.

The first question is what needs to improve. It may be machine reliability, the guest environment, lane control or the way reception handles bookings. Separating essential work from optional upgrades helps define a realistic project sequence and avoid replacing components without addressing the underlying operational problem.

03

Evaluate string pinsetter technology

String machines are considered for operational efficiency and lower maintenance complexity. We assess the actual model, service requirements, consumables and supplier support against your operating needs. Any certification, energy or performance claim must be verified for the exact product.

Our bowling partner Eternity Bowling offers string bowling technology, including the EV99. OBED considers the selected configuration as part of the whole center. Routine maintenance still needs a plan, and any requirements for organized competition are checked for the actual equipment and intended use.

04

Connect the lane to the guest journey

Bowling software, reservations, group packages and F&B need to work together. We map the required connections before implementation and verify compatibility with the selected systems.

For example, a birthday package may reserve several lanes, require shoe allocation and include food at a particular time. These steps need compatible rules across reception and service. Explore bowling center software and F&B solutions to see how those decisions connect.

05

Plan for service from the start

Access for maintenance, spare parts, operator training and support responsibilities belong in the project brief. We help define the long-term support arrangement and what it covers before ordering.

The supply discussion should cover the initial handover and the practical questions that arise later: who diagnoses an issue, how parts are identified, which tasks the operator can perform and how support is arranged. Bowling equipment and supplies are therefore part of the operating plan, not an afterthought.

06

Start with your site and business model

Bring a floor plan if you have one, your proposed audience and whether this is a new build or modernization. We will use the consultation to identify the next decisions and the information needed to specify a suitable solution.

If a plan is not yet available, the location, approximate usable space and intended business format are enough to begin a useful conversation. We can help identify the information needed for a layout review. Pricing and delivery proposals follow a defined scope and verified site requirements.

Before we begin

Practical questions.
Clear answers.

How many lanes should we plan?

The answer depends on the audience, visit occasions, available space and operating model. Lane count should be tested alongside seating, reception, F&B and circulation. We begin with those relationships instead of recommending a fixed number for every project.

Can you help modernize an existing center?

Yes. We can review the operating priorities and define an upgrade brief. The scope may include lanes, machines, software, guest areas or connections with F&B. Existing equipment and the impact on trading need to be assessed before a proposal is finalized.

Are string pinsetters maintenance-free?

No. String technology is considered for operating and maintenance simplicity, but it still requires appropriate routines, consumables, inspections and support. The selected machine and supplier documentation determine the actual requirements.

Can the proposed system support competition play?

Tell us the competition or league use you intend to offer. Suitability and any certification requirements must be checked against the precise equipment and governing rules. A professional bowling format does not automatically establish every competition approval.
