From operating requirements to spatial decisions. Illustrative planning study.
OBED stands for Operator-Based Entertainment Distribution. We help investors and operators plan, equip, digitalize and optimize modern entertainment venues. Our starting point is practical: how will this venue work for guests, staff and the business?
01
Built from the inside
Running a venue means balancing guest experience with staffing, maintenance, service speed and commercial performance. That operational perspective shapes the questions we ask and the solutions we recommend.
A product can look right on a specification sheet and still create unnecessary work at reception, during a birthday party or at the end of a trading day. We look at those moments early. The questions behind our recommendations are the questions an operator has to answer when the venue is open.
02
One connected project conversation
Concept, equipment, software and day-to-day processes influence each other. We consider them together, so that a decision about an attraction also considers capacity, payments, F&B and the work required to operate it.
That does not mean every venue needs every attraction or every software module. It means the selected parts should have a clear purpose and an agreed relationship. A smaller, well-organized offer can be a better starting point than a more complicated concept that the space or team cannot support.

From proven entertainment operations to European distribution
OBED is building its European distribution and consulting presence, with a primary focus on Central Europe. Our position is grounded in operator experience. New European project stories will be shared when they are completed and approved for publication.
We distinguish the operational experience behind OBED from projects delivered under the OBED brand. As our European work develops, we will present the relevant project scope and outcomes accurately. Today, our consulting approach explains how that experience translates into practical project decisions.
04
Advice with clear boundaries
We define project scope, responsibilities, supplier specifications and support arrangements before commitments are made. Expected results are discussed as assumptions to test, never as guaranteed returns.
A good recommendation also makes the trade-offs visible. More capacity may require more seating and service support. A broader F&B menu may need a different kitchen and staffing model. More connected software may require integration work, training and a carefully planned transition.
05
A partner beyond equipment selection
Our approach extends from concept and layout to implementation planning, staff preparation and operational review. The level of involvement is agreed for each project, including support after opening.
We help define the next useful deliverable rather than asking every client to begin with the same package. That may be an early concept review, an equipment and system brief, preparation for opening or a focused review of an existing operating issue.

Based in Rijeka. Focused on Europe.
From Croatia, we work with investors, developers and operators planning new venues or improving existing ones. Start with your location, your commercial goals and the decisions you need to make next.
Our role is to bring the project into focus and coordinate the parts within the agreed engagement. Commercial scope, delivery arrangements and local requirements are confirmed for each project. Tell us about your venue and the decision you want to make next.

Before we begin
Practical questions. Clear answers.
What does operator-based mean in practice?+
It means equipment, layout and system decisions are evaluated through the work of running a venue. We consider staffing, guest flow, maintenance, F&B, payments and reporting together, so the recommendation reflects what happens during a real trading day.
Is OBED a consultant or a distributor?+
Both roles form part of our approach. An engagement may focus on consulting, equipment supply, implementation planning or a combination. We define the deliverables and responsibilities for your project before work is commissioned.
Do you work only on new venues?+
No. We also work with existing operators reviewing equipment, introducing attractions, improving F&B or connecting their systems. The starting point is the business objective and the practical constraints of the current venue.
Where do you work?+
Our focus is the European Union, particularly Central Europe. We are based in Rijeka, Croatia. Delivery, communication and support arrangements are confirmed for each project and country.
